Review: Unless you enjoy getting gouged every month by a management staff that sucks, you will be fine. Not to mention the cars that follow you through the gate without a pass card or the burglaries here lately. Go ahead and sign right up. Or the fact that the price on the internet is totally bogus and a farce to bring you in. Welcome home to a fantastic place where the trash is always backed up and the smell is disgusting. You will fit right in if you enjoy walking 100 feet to your car every morning and night cause there is no parking and the dog poop on the grass is abundant.

Review: This is a quote taken from the apartment owner’s website… “We are problem solvers. We listen and respond to our residents’ needs.” If only it were true. There have been two burglaries at this complex in the last month. The leasing managers are actively hiding this from the residents there. DO NOT RENT HERE UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO BE ROBBED!! It’s true you, burglaries can happen anywhere but not telling residents about robberies going on in the complex should be a crime. They’re putting people s lives in danger by not telling them. This is definitely NOT a safe place to live!!

Review: All apartments come with something no one wants. I have lived at Shiloh for three years and I am in the process of moving down to a one bedroom. IS there noise? Yes, are there neighbors you dont want to live near-EVER? Yes. But if you dont want other people around, dont move into an apartment. The staff isnt the friendliest, but there is only one in particular, and she will remain nameless. They are for the most part friendly, you get a lot of square foot for your price, and that is good. Now the bad, the cable will go out when there is rain, believe it, the gate will break at least twice in a month, belive that too. but overall, i am happy here and yeah it has its perks, and its curses. However, I do belive in reporting people who act like they have no sense and want to have stomp shows above me all night.

Review: I searched many places to move in; however, this place suggested the lowest rate for rental and the biggest square feets among some places that I visited. I just moved in here, but with my rental rate, this is a good place to live. Here are a pool, a fitness, a car cleaning center, and laundary equipment. Even some people left poor experienced reviews about this apartment, we love this place and my paying money is worthy…

Review: At first glance, Shiloh Valley Apartments look like the perfect place to live. Unfortunately, you find out after moving in just how much effort has been exerted outside, and relatively little given to the inside. These apartments have none of the features you’d expect to see in apartments this new. They showed us a model apartment that had many upgrades and was very nice. We were told that our apartment would be exactly as the one shown, but that we couldn’t visit our actual apartment, because the law forbade its being shown until after a certain number of days being empty. The worst part is that we have two choices for cable: either get BOOTLEGGED cable through the complex, which goes out every other week; or get Direct TV “IF” your apartment is located in the correct line of the sky.

Preston Hollow Apartments
236 E Gordon Ln
Murray, UT 84107

Review Date: 12/9/2008
Review: Before we decided to rent, we asked if there was any complaints about the renter above with noise. We were told we would not have to worry they would take care of any problem. we have been living in hell. We have complained 4 times with no results. We are up all night long almost every night , this would explain the cranky attitude we have by now. The walking back and forth with heavy feet. Back and forth. Do not rent here. They will tell you anything to sign a contract and then you are doomed. Can not wait to get out of here. They also lied about a parking space so we have to walk the entire length of apartment to get to our door.

Review: We moved into this complex and were pretty happy with it for the first 3 or so months. The upstairs neighbors tended to get a bit noisy, but for the most part it wasn’t that bad. Then after a bit, you can hear everything your neighbor does, and I mean everything! If they had bad tacos the night before, you will hear about it the next day. Every time they use the restroom, you get to hear it flush. Every time they move basically, you get to hear it.

The bathrooms have a huge problem with ventilation, so during the winter months, tons of mold tends to grow around the bedroom windows. The doors are pretty flimsy compared to normal bedroom/closet doors. Other than your front door, which is made of metal and weighs about 113lbs. They are self-closing doors, but not everyone in the complex seems to understand the purpose of it and they let it slam. On more than one occasion, objects fell off the walls of our apt due to doors being slammed by neighbors.

As far as appliances go, we had an overall satisfaction with them in the kitchen. Other than the garbage disposal, which would rattle things off the counter and sounded like it was going to take off right out of the kitchen with the sink. We replaced the faucet in the kitchen at our own discretion because of the low quality. We had our dishwasher worked on twice during our 15-month stay, mostly because the water pressure was lousy.

This is a very pet “friendly” complex. They have dog treats in the office and provide “pick up” bags in the pet area. Other than some residents not picking up after their dogs, it was a rather clean pet area.

There is a creek that runs through one side of the complex on the North side. This creek reeks of sewage and I never once saw it cleaned or freed from debris. The creek did back up once due to weather and ended up flooding the parking lot and grounds. Didn’t smell too great.

As far as parking goes, you are provided with one covered parking spot as well as the option to rent a garage. There are also ample amounts of uncovered parking, as long as you don’t mind the walk. We opted to renting a garage after two break-ins to our vehicles so both could be in a lit area. Our garage door ended up coming off the rollers and putting a dent in the trunk of our car. It was fixed, but continued to fall off the rollers or break for 3 months. They eventually moved us to a different garage. We saw some people using the garage for storage sometime later, but they never did get the door fixed. Our neighbors had their car broken into for the third time during their lease. They moved shortly after the third break in. The Peak Alarm patrol told us he saw a guy running from parking lot upon finding the broken into cars, but he didn’t give chase, as they are not the police. They are there to basically watch it happen? The surrounding neighborhood is a pretty high crime area from all the areas I have lived at in SLC. There were nightly visits from the SLC Police at the apt complex across the street. (You can simply avoid this by not getting an apt that 3rd East runs along) 3rd East has also turned into a racetrack…so if you have children, keep them away from this street.

They do clean the pool and hot tub, but people tend to leave their beer bottles all over the pool area.

Someone ended up crashing into the mailbox area shortly after we moved in; it was never fixed even after our move out. It looked pretty dangerous to get your mail out, and also the very first thing you see when you pull into the complex.

Upon the completion of our lease, we decided to move closer to downtown. We cleaned the apt and during our move out inspection, we were signed off as being “ok” and only minor touch paints were needed, but they weren’t going to charge us. We actually had a credit coming back to us for overpaying on rent a few months. Two weeks later we receive a letter in the mail detailing our move out inspection and that when they went back, they decided to revise our move out inspection. To our surprise the new move inspection, they were charging us over 0 for new carpet. Due to “damage” they were ripping up all the carpet and replacing it and padding. Now, I know there were some stains and spilled drinks on the carpet, but we talked to a steamer and he told us that it would come up no problem. We offered to have the carpets cleaned 15 days before we moved out, but were instructed by the office management not to do so because they would end up cleaning them anyways, regardless if we cleaned them. So we didn’t. We called up the office to question the move out inspection and inquired why upon move out that everything was “satisfactory” and all parties were signed off on the Move Out Statement as getting a refund. They informed us that they attempted to clean the carpets but then ended up replacing the carpet and the padding. Totally over 0 minus our refund. We disputed the charges with the Metric Apt Management and then 10 days later, we get yet ANOTHER revised statement showing only 0 because they didn’t “end up replacing the padding” but if we would of paid when we received the first bill, we would of paid for the padding to be replaced. So was it replaced or not because there are people already living in the apt we moved out from?

We are now taking this to small claims court, because no where in our Lease does it state that upon a completed and signed off Move Out Statement, can they go back nearly 2 weeks later and alter a signed document without our presence and then send us a bill for it.

What a nightmare. I will never recommend anyone moving into the Preston Hollow Apts or any apt complex owned by Metric Property.

Review: We’ve lived here for about 4 years now. And there are a lot of things that I like/don’t like about the complex.

In general maintenance has been great. Our dishwasher broke, and they not only fixed it by the next day, but they also fixed the resulting water damage too. Even for minor problems like towel racks pulling out of the wall they’ve been very prompt.

If you like to keep your car clean, the area isn’t a good place. There’s a concreate or construction company of some sort on Gordon Lane and a TON of dust gets blown all over the place. It’s not the apartment’s fault, just the area.

There’s generally sufficient parking. There’s one assigned covered spot per apartment, garages that can be rented, and a bunch of uncovered spots. The only parking problems occur when residents use the uncovered spots (this happened a lot near our building, but not so much around some others), or when there’s a party or something going on (which we didn’t see very often).

This complex is VERY dog friendly. Since we’re cat people, that made for some issues for us. Dispite extensive efforts from the office and maintenance staff to keep all the grass and side walks clean, you still have to watch your step, and don’t let kids play in the grass.

The complex is nice, but the surrounding neighborhood isn’t all that great. We had more problems with loud music from the next complex (Gordon Lane Apartments) than we had from our own. There has also been a bit of auto vandalism.

There’s not a lot of kids in the complex. Which is very nice.

For the most part our neighbors have been reasonable, and more or less leave us alone. There are always a few bad apples, but for the most part it’s been good.

The commute to down town is great! We’re close enough to I-15 we can get almost anywhere in the valley in about 15-20 minutes.

They CLEAN the pool! Also maintenance keeps up on repairs to the hot tub, pool, etc.

They promised gated access and the ability to pay via credit/debit card, but that never happened.

Review: I came across this website and it goes to show that you only hear from angry people who don’t take responsibility for their own actions. There should be more of us that are happy with Preston Hollow taking the time to share their thoughts. I’ve lived here for over 2 years and the management have always responded in a kind and timely manner. Maintenanence is quick to respond. I’ve enjoyed my friendly neighbors and getting to know them at the many activities. I would highly recommend this community to anyone!

Review: Preston Hollow is quite new and very nice apartments. The rent is not the greatest for how the staff treats you once you sign your lease. If you avoid talking with Nicole the better off you are, she is a hoe! Amy is a little bit better but thats not saying much. Once again nice apartments, but I think you should be treated better for how much you spend on rent.

Ivy Park Apartments
6444 Jones Creek Rd.
Baton Rouge, LA 70817

Review Date: 3/28/2010
Review: This is a great complex to live in. We have lived here a little over three months and it’s been a good experience. The staff have responded to any need that has come up. The apartments are “home-like” and comfortable. The weight room is great!! Haven’t actually been in the pool but have gone out there to relax. It’s very peaceful. Our surrounding neighbors are nice and the property is very clean and well kept up. The location is super!!!
The only thing I would change is I would put different doors on the washroom area because sometimes, the noise comes thru. We just turn the TV up and apparently that’s ok because none of our neighbors have complained. We have only heard the neighbors very faintly a couple of times. The apartments seem almost sound proof. First 90 or so days AOK!!!!!!

Review: I have really enjoyed living here so far. It looks like other people have had some construction problems but my apartment was in tip top condition. I do not have the noise problems that someone else spoke about on here and the women in the office have been nothing but nice to me. I have lived in more expensive apartments with FAR worse issues, these people on here seem like they either didn’t get what they wanted and came here to retaliate or have nothing better to do with their time. Maybe these people should give the “chicks” in the office a break, seems like all of their issues fall back on the construction team. I like it here, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Review: Where to start?

I was told I could move in during June, so I signed a lease. I couldn’t move in until the middle of August. Two months without a home can be a bit tough.

No working oven for about a month.

Still no light in my laundry room after 4 months and several requests to have it done.

They did not plan the opening with Entergy, so I couldn’t even put the power in my name. Then I got a “past due” bill stuck through my door saying my power’s going to be turned off if I didn’t pay 0 the next day, 3 days after rent was due.

The pool and fitness center are incomplete, even though I am paying for them.

The workmanship is bad. There is grout all over the place. On the tile, on the walls, on the molding, on the doors. The shower door was put on backwards and the screws aren’t even tightened.

They bought the cheapest, most inefficient appliances available.

Noticeable drafts during cold periods.

Paint overspray all over the windows. This makes the windows look foggy and causes the apartment to heat up when the sun hits the paint.

The top step in front of my apartment is loose and can cause you to stumble a bit. I told them about this when I moved in, but nothing has been done in the 4 months since.

There is siding on the building that doesn’t match. Grey on beige.

Management accused me of not paying rent, saying they will submit an eviction notice. My rent check was in their inbox the whole time.

Maybe they should have hired helpful leasing agents instead of pretty girls. It has gone beyond a bad review. These complaints will be submitted to the Better Business Bureau.

Review: I’ve lived at Ivy Park for several months now and have already scopped out my next place to live. Thankfully I only signed a six month lease. The construction of the units is incredibly cheaply done and Hinton Construction obviously doesn’t put much pride into their work. When I first moved in the manager of the office promised me several things that would be done in “the next week or so” and that was MONTHS ago and they still aren’t done. I heard them bringing some poor sapps around the complex the other day and I heard the same exact lies they had told me! Also, 50% of the time that I go to my garage and try to open the door it won’t open with the garage opener. This is ridiculous!! I actually had to call a friend for a ride to work the other day b/c I couldn’t get my car out! I will delight to see Ivy Park become a ghetto!

Review: Management, ? anyone home
Construction: I have been a carpenter for 12 years and have never seen such poor workmanship. I approached the sight construction superintendent and asked him about the workmanship and /or the lack thereof, I was informed that time was of the essence and the work had to be done quickly.
I am sure that in the long run these apartments will succumb to their own construction.
Glad I only signed a six month lease.
